Both periods received their graded Act 3 quizzes today. Students who scored less than 70% can correct their answers on a separate piece of paper, staple it to their original quiz, and submit it on Monday for an additional 1/2 point for each response they correct. In order to receive the credit they must also have a parent/guardian's signature.
Period 1 finished all of Act 4 in Romeo and Juliet. The act moves quickly. It begins with Paris discussing his marriage to Juliet with Friar Lawrence and ends with Juliet's family shedding tears over her presumed to be dead body on the morning she is supposed to marry Paris.
Period 2 finished the first two scenes of Act 5 and will finish the play on Monday. Be prepared to turn in your entire journals for credit on Tuesday. Remember, you need to turn in the work for each act 1 - 5.

Period 4 watched the movie version of The Catcher in the Rye. We will talk more about the connections in class on Monday. If you missed class, check the assignments section for the movie questions. Each question is worth 2 points.
