English 9 - Find, read, print, and bring to class a current event news report that relates to one of the 30 articles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Remember, you cannot use a Donald Sterling news report because that was the example used in class. Bring in the article Friday or, at the latest, Monday.
English 10 - Final draft of The Catcher in the Rye essay is due on turnitin.com. Essays turned in after the start time of class are late.
Classwork
English 9 - Students worked together to determine a list of rights that all humans should have. We then started to make connections between human rights and Romeo and Juliet. We will continue this tomorrow.
English 10 - Period 4 post your book introduction to this blog entry.
Students received a checklist to help them finalize their essay. They then received the instructions for The Catcher in the Rye creative project which is due May 14th. Period 3 stayed in class and created a story and Period 4 went to the computer lab to research a book to read. A brief introduction to the book should be posted in the comments section of this blog entry.
