Classwork
English 9 - We began class with students offering ideas for our next "Olympic Game." We then shared our summaries using the CAR WASH strategy. Ask someone who was in class if you are unsure what the CAR WASH is. Students then worked independently to write the first draft of their second summary. As students finished they were required to trade summaries with four classmates to give and receive feedback. We finished class with an introduction to the vocabulary we will study in Antigone.
English 10 - Our class was structured the same as English 9 today. We began with the CAR WASH strategy, and, of course, after we washed all the "cars" it started to rain! Students then received peer feedback on the draft of the summary they wrote last night. Students were required to read 4 summaries and provide feedback on each one. As students finished the peer feedback process they wrote a final version of their summary. See the picture above to help you organize your materials so you are prepared to submit them in class tomorrow.
