Period 4 English 10 - If you did not finish summarizing the Rhodes biography and the reading questions assigned in class finish these tonight. Additionally, be prepared to present your Cultures and Customs Project.

Students received some work back today and should have added scores to their English Assignment Task Sheet. Please ask your student to share this with you. Students then led a discussion on Human Rights conditions at SDA and in the local community. It was inspiring to listen to the great ideas students shared as well as observe the respect they showed one another in the discussion. We will be participating in more of these types of discussions with the goal of increasing the social literacy of each student.

Students began class by summarizing the biography they read as homework and answering three reading questions based on two passages from Cecil Rhodes' book Confessions of Faith. I had to leave school early to attend a district meeting so this document will posted in this blog entry tomorrow. Please check back then if you need a copy.
We spent the rest of the class enjoying the cultures and customs presentations. The late start schedule cut our presentation time short today so several students were unable to present. These students should expect to go first in class tomorrow. See you then!
