Homework - Bring your plot chart for Broken Chain, sticky note annotations, three passages from the story, and your group's plot chart to class on Friday.
Classwork - Students worked in groups to share their plot chart for Broken Chain. As a group, the students then created a final plot chart based on their collective understanding of the story. Next, students cited evidence from the story that shows the central conflict, the climax, and the resolution. The last part of this group work was to present the final plot chart and supporting passages to the class.
